I usually do not stop to listen to anyone preaching these days. But something he said as I surfed the channels caught my ear. A refesher course about the Book of Job and Job's life.
Elohim G-d did not say he wished us any harm or would not care about us. Or send bad things on us, even. This is where people always ask, Why do bad things happen to good people?
Who wished bad things on Job? Who made bad things happen to Job? A 'know it all', fallen angel thats who. Judging others , fault finding, speaking evil of others, this angel did it all. Took everything Job owned, children, health, home. Sent destroying storms! Jobs good friends came to sit with Job. But what did this fallen angel do for most of the 40 chapters? Spoke through Jobs friends, changing their minds on how they really felt from the heart at the begining. So as to judge Job and say that Job did something wrong in his life, to deserve all the terrible things that came his way.
Why? The fallen angel wanted Job to curse G-d his Creator.
But who really did all the bad stuff that happened? The 'know it all' fallen angel.
Not Job's creator, Elohim G-d!
So there is the answer to the question..... Why do bad things happen to good people?
